Seven Consultancy, the boutique communications agency which specialises in purpose-driven tech (particularly fintech), has announced a restructure of its senior team following several years of strong growth.
Robyn Margetts, previously Associate Director, has been appointed as Managing Director to oversee day-to-day operations, while founder, Emma Harvey, will take on the role of Chief Executive Officer to lead the strategic direction of the business.
Founded in 2013 with the mission of being a true extension to in-house teams, Seven Consultancy’s clients span B2B and B2C and include global brands such as Mastercard and CRIF, innovation foundation Challenge Works (previously Nesta Challenges), and purpose-led fintechs including Creditspring, Currensea, Cushon and Credit Kudos.
The new structure reflects the agency’s significant growth in recent years, with several new clients signed this year as well as new projects with long-standing clients such as Challenge Works, where the team is leading on the new brand communications and the new partnership with Alzheimer’s Society. Seven also recently won a multi-year project for Mastercard’s philanthropic initiative, Strive UK, in a competitive pitch process.
In line with client growth, headcount has tripled since 2020 with recent appointments including Ed Rowley as Account Director – who has previously worked at Klarna, Monzo and HM Treasury and Sean Cope as Account Director – who has worked with Sainsbury’s and Marks and Spencer on their communications and ESG initiatives as well as fintech Glint.
Most recently it welcomed Alex Fry as Senior Account Executive – who has experience with fintech brands such as Yapily and ACI Worldwide. Last year the team announced the appointment of Kitty Guillaume who joined as Senior Account Manager bringing extensive fintech experience.
The agency was also shortlisted in the 2022 CIPR Excellence Awards for a project with the Raspberry Pi Foundation led by Account Director, Andrew McKay. The initiative encouraged young children and teens to engage with computing and digital technology by coding messages for astronauts on the International Space Station and delivered extensive media coverage across multiple markets.
Emma Harvey, CEO and founder, Seven Consultancy said: “Seven has gone from strength to strength over recent years thanks to our strong client partnerships and a model that disrupts the typical agency structure. We work as a true extension to our in-house colleagues and as a group of senior consultants, support a fewer number of clients each, allowing us to go deeper into our clients’ needs and goals, delivering their communications strategy in a smart, integrated way.
“We needed to adapt our structure to reflect where the business is today, and I’m thrilled to announce Robyn Margetts has been appointed to the role of Managing Director. Robyn is not only one of the smartest communications experts in the sector but her level of care and detail towards clients is unparalleled.”
